| name | : | Patrick Spiotto |
| role | : | Senior Data Engineer / DBA |
| focus | : | Large-scale data systems, automation, hobbyist dev |
| interests | : | PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Python, Discord bots, homelabs |
| status | : | open to interesting problems |
I design and build data infrastructure that doesn't fall over — pipelines, warehouses, and the automation glue that holds them together. By day I'm deep in SQL and orchestration; by night I'm writing bots, tinkering with homelabs, and finding new ways to make computers do my chores.
The domain name is a bit on-the-nose: patrickspiot.to
— the .to TLD finishes the surname Spiotto. Seemed like a shame to waste it.

> Data Pipelines
Modular ELT pipelines with dbt and Airflow, targeting Snowflake and PostgreSQL. Built for reliability and observability at scale.
> Homelab
Self-hosted infrastructure running on bare metal Linux — monitoring, containerised services, automated backups, and the occasional broken experiment.
> Automation Tools
Scripts and small CLI tools that automate the repetitive: database snapshots, report generation, scheduled notifications, and API integrations.
